No -- private messages are match-gated on purpose, so nobody gets unsolicited DMs. You can still comment on a public profile's wall or leave a photo comment without matching, if that member allows it.

A Super Like lets someone know you're especially interested before they've even seen your profile -- it surfaces higher in their Discover feed than a regular like.

The Lounge is site-wide real-time chat -- a general room plus themed rooms -- separate from your private matches, for casual group conversation.

Any logged-in, non-blocked member can post to your profile's comment wall by default -- you can turn this off entirely in Settings, and you can hide or delete any individual comment on your own wall instantly.

A featured list on your profile highlighting people you're close to on Mateable. It can only be populated from your existing matches -- you can't add someone who hasn't matched with you.

Yes -- members with a public profile and username can publish short articles under their own name, visible on their public profile page.

From any profile, message, or comment, use the report/block option. Blocking is immediate and mutual -- a blocked user can't see your profile, message you, comment on your wall, or appear in your feed, and you won't appear in theirs either.

It confirms a member's selfie was matched against their own profile photos by our review process. It's a trust signal, not a criminal background check -- always use normal caution meeting anyone in person.

Yes -- TOTP-based 2FA (Google Authenticator, Authy, etc.) is available in Settings for extra login protection. Phone/SMS verification is also available separately.
